Active Helped Me Study in Paris

Stacy Nelson, Media Coordinator

How long have you been at Active?

I’ve been at Active for three years. I started as a Media Assistant in 2010. Before coming to Active, I worked –for Chase bank. I was always interested in media and advertising and when I learned about Active’s trading model, it sounded really interesting. It seemed like a unique place to utilize my skills and build my career.

Describe your career path.

I started as a Media Assistant, where I was on the buying side of the business.  As I got to know the business better, I became interested in working more closely with clients and I voiced that interest. I was able to transition my role to the client side and then was promoted to Media Coordinator.

Work/life balance is a challenge for everyone. What does Active do to help you maintain yours?

When I was getting my Graduate degree, my school had a one month study program in Paris. I’d always been interested in going abroad and was especially attracted to Paris. Active worked with me and my schedule to allow me to participate in this program, which really was an amazing experience.

Why should someone want to work at Active?

I think people underestimate the creativity associated with corporate trade  There’s an opportunity to work with a wide range of clients and come up with solutions that are unique, just for that particular client. The company itself is very client-centric, going above and beyond to grow business relationships. In my department, everyone works together. There’s a huge focus on teamwork, which also makes it fun to be here.
