AIC Hotel Group (The Hard Rock All-Inclusive Collection, Eden Roc-Nobu) VP of Marketing Shares Views on the Current State of the Industry

By Dominic Bencivenga, Chief Sales Officer, Worldwide Travel

We recently had a conversation with Frank Maduro, VP Marketing AIC Hotel Group.  My relationship with Frank began over 20 years ago while he served as Director of Sales for Sandals and Beaches.  Frank is a current member of the Active Travel Advisory Board for 6 years and has been a client of Active for over 10 years.

We discussed with Frank the current state of the industry and what impact the pandemic has had on the AIC Hotel Group Properties.

From Frank Maduro, VP of Marketing, AIC Hotel Group:

"We are fortunate to have been able to reopen our properties before many other hotels, and as a result, have seen better-than-expected occupancy. Through creative problem solving and agility, we have been able to pivot and shift strategies that have helped us navigate through this 'new normal'—whether through our enhanced safety protocols, aggressive promotions or flexible booking policies. As we head into the new year we remain hopeful and optimistic that we'll see a continued return of business, and we remain committed now more than ever to rebuild our guest's confidence in international travel."
